Mannon Lee Wallace, Sr. September 8, 1931 – February 12, 2019 Dr. Mannon Lee Wallace Sr. was born the son of a pastor in the country farmland of Mckinney, Texas in September of 1933. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a young man and soon after followed in his father’s footsteps to serve God as an ordained Baptist minister; a calling he would passionately embrace for the remainder of his 87 years. He married a pretty, young violinist when he was 24 and together they had five children: Tina, Dawn, Heather, Mannon Jr., and Mark.

Some of Mannon’s happiest days were spent tilling the soil in his vegetable garden or sending out his ham radio call sign, W7EFA, to chat with friends around the globe long before the Internet became popular. His family thrived in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley after he answered a call to preach there until 1980 and soon after he obtained a Ph. D in theology.

Among his many talents, Mannon was a skilled carpenter, a mechanic, a camper, a coin collector, a WWII enthusiast, a lover of books, and a doting grandfather. But what was most notable was his undying love for God and for his family. Mannon was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel of Visalia.
