Obituary of Marcelina Carino Marcelina “Nelly” Carino, (nee Manipon), 83, of Totowa, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2018. She was born in the Philippines on January 2, 1935 to the late Luis and Agrifina (Catriz) Manipon. She earned her Bachelor’s degree and worked as a Pharmacist before working as a medical technologist at St. Josephs’s Hospital in Paterson.

Nelly was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson and St. James of the Marches Church in Totowa. She was also a Novitiate of the Carmelite Order. Nelly was predeceased by her beloved husband Felipe in 2013.

She was the adored mother of John Carino and the treasured sister of three brothers and 5 sisters. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave.

, Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9am at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
