Marceline’s Obituary Marceline Lucille Wilson Gantt passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 in Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be at Groesbeck Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at New Hope Cemetery on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 am, with Rev.

Alan Crosby of the First Baptist Church of Jewett officiating. Marceline was born March 12, 1928, in Crane, Texas, to John Weldon Wilson and Johnnie Lucille Wilkinson Wilson. She married Archie Gantt in Groesbeck, Texas, on November 11, 1947 and they lived together on Gantt land for almost 60 years.

Archie passed away September 11, 2007, and Marceline moved to Lake Jackson to be near her oldest son Gary and his wife Linda who helped care for her until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Johnnie, husband Archie, sons Kyle and Keith, brother Cullen Wilson, and sisters Nelda Ferrill and Glenda Gregory. She is survived by son, Gary Gantt, and wife Linda of West Columbia, daughter-in-law Cheryl Gantt of Jewett, granddaughter Jennifer Fields of Jewett, granddaughter Coleen Heaton and husband Scott of Dawson, granddaughter Jana Hutchins and husband Keith of Belton, granddaughter Kristie Meneghini and husband Dennis of Pflugerville, grandson Brian Gantt, great grandchildren Austin Hall, Tyler Dennis, Kaitlyn Hutchins, Brady Hutchins, Cash Fields, Kasey Bever and Kyle Bever, Hannah and Micah Heaton, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be at Groesbeck Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm and a graveside service will be held at New Hope Cemetery on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 am. Thank you to staff at Carriage Inn in Lake Jackson and Country Village Care in Angleton as well as IPH Hospice for the care they gave her.
