Obituary for Marcella “Marcy” Esenrich Marcella “Marcy” Esenrich, age 89, of Faribault, MN, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Marcella Delores was born on May 5, 1929 in Stockholm Township, Wright County, MN to Anthony and Clara (Bachinski) Goranowski.
She graduated from Cokato High School with the class of 1946. Marcy married James E. Esenrich on August 19, 1950 in Silver Lake, MN. Following their marriage, they resided in Bismarck, ND, Albert Lea, MN, and Faribault.
Marcy worked for three years with Control Data Corp. , and for 30 years with District One Hospital in Faribault. Following her retirement, she worked at the Lavender Inn Art Gallery in Faribault.
She was a member of the Moose Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Elks Club, Eagle’s Auxiliary, and Senior Center, all in Faribault. Marcy enjoyed playing bingo, baking, bowling, and fishing. She loved going on cruises, went to the 1962 Rose Bowl when the Gophers beat UCLA, and to the Super Bowl when the Vikings lost to the Oakland Raiders.
She was a Vikings season ticket holder for 35 years. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Barbara) Esenrich of Faribault; three grandchildren, Jenny Jones of Medford, and her children, Kaden, Maria, and Dillan, Scott (Mary Ann) Esenrich of Las Vegas, NV, and Hayley Chamberlin of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Floyd (Harriet) Goranowski of Cokato, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Esenrich (1982); son, Allan Esenrich (1972); daughter, Julie Chamberlin (2015); and parents, Anthony and Clara.
