Obituary for Marcia Warren Marcia Kay Warren, 49 Marcia Kay Warren, 49, of Bartow, FL, passed away on December 2,2018 after a 12 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Lexington, KY to Eldon and Agnes Neihof. Marcia graduated from Mt.
Carmel High School in 1987 and recently celebrated 28 years of marriage to Brian Warren. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southeastern University and her Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from the University of South Florida. She was a school teacher and a guidance counselor with Polk County Public Schools.
She elected to leave her education career for almost 13 years to follow her dream of being a mother to her children. Later she returned to work following her love of working with children in guidance and counseling. She attended Victory Church-Lakeside.
Marcia enjoyed traveling and planning trips and excursions to any place that would provide a memorable time with her family. From the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, to Martha’s Vineyard, to El Capitan in Yosemite National Park to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and more. Of all the places she traveled, a trip to the beach was always her favorite with her feet in the sand and a slow walk in the lapping waves.
She was a hostess that loved to entertain family and friends. She had many talents, playing piano, singing in various vocal and choir ensembles and sewing. She is remembered as a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, aunt and friend to all that knew her.
Marcia is survived by her husband Brian and their children Austin, Conner and Lilly Warren; her father Eldon Neihof and mother Agnes Neihof; siblings John Neihof, James Neihof and Mary Brantley; father-in-law Carl Rhodes and mother-in-law Mildred Warren-Rhodes; sister-in-laws Beth Neihof, Dorenda Neihof and brother-in-law Bryan Brantley. Visitation will be Thursday December 6, 2018 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, Fl. From 5-8 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Rd. Lakeland, Fl. 33810.
