Marcus Wayne “Marc” Matheny April 04, 1980 – December 30, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mr. Marc Matheny Mr. Marcus Wayne “Marc” Matheny, age 38, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, December 30, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was born to Billy Wayne and Kimberly Ann Whitley Matheny on April 4, 1980, in Fort Ord, California. He married the love of his life, Monica Renee Heikes on March 24, 2000, and to this marriage, one son was born.

Marc loved the Lord and was a member of the First Christian Church in Nashville and enjoyed watching his son play football, riding 4-wheelers and tinkering with trucks, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kim Matheny and his grandmother, Hazel Matheny. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 18 years, Monica Renee Matheny of Nashville; one son, Nicholas William Matheny of Nashville; his father and step-mother, Bill and Mary Matheny of Hayesville, North Carolina; one brother, Micky Strang and his wife Kristie of De Queen; one sister, Marci Null and her husband Leonard of Dierks; two step-brothers, David McGough of Joplin, Missouri and Mark McGough of Hayesville, North Carolina; one uncle, Jay Whitley of Dierks; three aunts, Sheri Mills and her husband Melvin of De Queen, June Pinson and her husband Jerry of Dierks and Stacy Rasmussen of Grannis; his grandmother, Maxine Whitley of Dierks; his grandfather, Bill Whitley and his wife Shirley of El Paso, Texas; as well as, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other special relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. Marc Matheny will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 5, 2019, in the First Christian Church, Nashville, Arkansas, with Bro. Jim Pinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
