Margaret A. “Peg” Bryer October 30, 1942 – March 22, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret A. “Peg” Bryer, 76, of McKeesport, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born October 30, 1942 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther Goins Marzina. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. “Butch” Bryer who passed away May 12, 2009.

She worked many years as manager of the gift shops in UPMC Shadyside Hospital and UPMC Mercy Hospital, as well as being an administrative assistant for Rotorooter. She was a member of the former St. Martin DePores Church in McKeesport. She loved traveling, bowling, playing cards and going to the casino.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and going thrift store shopping. She is survived by sons, Michael R. (Kathleen) Bryer of State College, and Daniel J. (Nancy) Bryer of Glassport, sister, Anita (Henry) Kalkbrenner of North Huntingdon, brother, Frank J. (Barbara) Marzina of McKeesport, grandchildren, Threasa Bryer, Liz (Anthony) Chiodo, and Reyna Bryer, great-granddaughter, Paisley Bryer and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Vera L. Marzina.

There is no visitation. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at The Greenhouse Winery, 1048 Pinewood Rd, Irwin, PA 15642. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
