Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev.

Edwin Kagoo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia. Mrs. Helpert was born September 12, 1925 in Westphalia to Anton and Mary Wilde Gottschalk.

She lived most of her life in Westphalia. She married Frederick “Fritz” Helpert on February 27, 1946. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sister, Cecilia Gottschalk and Leonna Gottschalk, three brothers, Ray Gottschalk, Mike Gottschalk, and Louis “Pat” Gottschalk. She is survived by two sons, Harold Helpert and wife Bernice of Lorena, Ken Helpert and wife Kim of Lampasas, one daughter, Janet Grygar and husband Brian of Robinson, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Westphalia Historical Society or to St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
