OBITUARY Margaret Mary Gillen June 29, 1929 – October 31, 2018 Margaret, or Marge, as she preferred to go by, was born on June 29, 1929 in Santa Paula, CA. She passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018, in Oceanside, CA. She was married for 61 years to John Paul Gillen (deceased 2016).

She was a hair stylist, Marine wife and mother to 7 children. She was a devoted Catholic, with membership in the St. Thomas More Catholic church in Oceanside, CA since 1986. She volunteered for numerous church activities, including spending 7 days in New Orleans helping out in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

She enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading, playing Yahtzee and traveling around the country. Loving and caring for her family was the #1 focus of her life. Marge is proceeded in death by her husband John Paul Gillen, and her daughter Mary.

She is survived by her children; Katherine Gillen, John Gillen, Paul Gillen (wife Christina), Cyndi Mills, Michael Gillen and Robert Gillen; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
