Margaret R. Schulfer September 12, 1946 – January 4, 2019 Margie Schulfer is a beautiful woman who ascended to her eternal home on January 4, 2019, where she is reunited with her husband, David E. Schulfer (deceased March 24, 2013). Margie was a person whose kindness was revealed through her authenticity and genuinely caring personality. Those who knew her best cannot help but smile when remembering her in this way.

She was sweet and gentle, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. The cause of Margie’s passing is the result of complications from a rare disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She had this diagnosis for over a decade, but her strong will and determination did not let it hold her back.

Her story could have been a tough one, but she made it an inspiring one. While she could do things, she was going to do them! Margie had a creative spirit shining within her that brought her great happiness and allowed her to give so much to others.

She was known for making beautiful handmade cards for her loved ones, as well as the amazing photo albums she created. Family and the memories of a life well lived meant much to her. These cherished pieces of art from Margie’s heart live on through those they were gifted to.

Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband, David E. Schulfer, and parents Alois and Genevieve Rybicki. She is survived by her children Jill McKellan (spouse Ambrose), Ann Ganch (spouse Dan), and Nathan Schulfer, and her three grandchildren, Benelli (Ganch), Isabella (McKellan), and Nam Jin (Ganch) and her faithful and spunky sidekick, Harry Potter, her Havanese. Also remaining are her siblings, Dick (Janet–deceased) Rybicki, Joseph (Barbara) Rybicki, Gerald (Charlotte) Rybicki, Alois (Beverly) Rybicki, and Judy (Gordon) Bigalke.

Services for Margie will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Father Patric will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Church on Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 AM.

Her burial will take place on a later date at All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph, WI. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Margie’s name will be established at a later date.
