OBITUARY Margaret Rose Boisvert November 14, 1937 – October 17, 2018 MARGARET ROSE “PEGGY” BOISVERT passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Brookdale Retirement Community in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 14, 1937 and graduated from St. Francis De Paula School in 1951 and Aquinas Dominican High School in 1955. She attended Chicago Teachers College and became a physical education teacher for the Chicago Board of Education Playground Division.

She held the post of Playground Functional Vice-President for the Teachers Union for several years. She worked at Clark, Delano, and Winemac Playgrounds through the years where she inspired her sports teams to do their best. It was there that she mentored several of her students to go into the teaching profession.

Peggy truly loved animals throughout her life and especially her precious dog Maggie and cat Muffy. She loved spending time and traveling with her mother, father, sister and several of her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother Raphael J. (Ray) Jr. (the late Carol), and her sister, Mary-Lou Stackhouse (the late Stephen).

Peggy was preceded in death by her Father, Raphael J. Boisvert, Sr., her Mother, Rosine Christine (Witt) Boisvert, and a brother-in-law, Thomas R. Griffin. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, Susan Boisvert Aguire, (Jesus), Randall Boisvert, Rosemary Griffin LaConte, (Daniel), Kathleen Boisvert Imburgia, (Mark), Christina Griffin Deckelman, (Scott) and Daniel Hahn-Boisvert, (Brenda). There are also many great, and great great nieces and nephews who will miss “Aunt Peggy”.

Family, friends and others whose lives “Peggy” has touched are invited to pay their respects on Sunday October 21 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St.(corner of Northwest Hwy/ Rt14 and Rand Rd) , Des Plaines, IL from 2 P.M. – 8 P.M. On Monday morning, October 22, 2018 at 9:15 there will be funeral prayers at Oehler Funeral Home followed by a procession to Our Lady of Ransom Church in Niles, IL where there will be a Mass at 10 AM with burial at All Saints Cemetery following Mass.
