OBITUARY Margaret Steffen September 8, 1934 – September 21, 2018 Margaret Jane Delmar (DiMaria) Steffen, 84, retired Admin Officer from Department of the Navy, died of blood cancer September 21 at her condo in Leisure World. Mrs. Steffen, a native of Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, moved to the D.C. area in the early 1950’s. Before starting work with the Navy, Margaret worked with field operations officers with the CIA.

She was posted to France and Africa. She was an original member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Choir in Silver Spring, MD. Survivors include her son Mark Steffen and daughter Kelly Steffen Taylor.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Don Carl Steffen, in 1995 and her son, Don Carl Steffen II, in 1985. In lieu of flowers, please donate to www. lls.org/ or www.
