Obituary for Margaret Tarte (Mylett) Print Margaret, (Marge) A. Tarte (nee Mylett) 95 of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Media, PA died Sunday in the Sunrise of Newtown Square Assisted Living, Newtown Square, PA. Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Mylett, Sr. and the late Margaret (Gravin) Mylett. Marge was a graduate of Notre Dame high school of Rose Valley and captain of the basketball team.

She was a long-time employee of the Paul Restall Co. for over 50 years. Formerly she worked at Sun Oil Company as a lab technician. She was an avid skier and a lifetime member of the Buck Ridge Ski Club.

She learned to ski at age 55 and after 30 amazing years on the slopes she retired her skis when she was 85. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, biking and hiking with her friends. She was a very active bridge player and in her early years played competitively.

She was a dedicated Phillies and Eagles fan. At her last residence, Sunrise of Newtown Square, she was presented with an award for being the “Biggest Sports Fan”. Her passion was reading, skiing and travelling the world.

Up until age 88, she never missed a yearly swim in the ocean at the Jersey Shore. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and especially her grandchildren, Brendan and Elena. Marge was a devout catholic and member of Nativity BVM Church in Media for 50+ years.

Predeceased by her brothers Thomas, Richard, Edward and her sister Anne and her former husband Franklin Tarte. Survived by her son James and her daughter-in-law Eileen. Her grandchildren Brendan and Elena and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1-1:30 pm at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 30 E. Franklin St., Media, PA. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 30 E. Franklin, Media. Internment is private.
