Margery’s Obituary Margery M. Bryant, 91, of Port Byron, IL, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Port Byron. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Point Cemetery, Port Byron. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Center. Margery was born March 8, 1927 in Valley Park, MO, a daughter of Andrew “Pete” and Nora Belle (Abbott) Wideman.

She married Marshall Bryant in St. Charles, MO, in 1941. Margery was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, cooking and was a great baker.

She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors in Byron Hills. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Barbara Bryant, Coal Valley; granddaughters, Sonjia (Scott) Spring, Maui, HI, Alicia Byrant, MO; great granddaughter, Antonia Spring; and brother, Barney Wideman, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall in 2010; sons, Wayne, Donald and Larry Bryant; and siblings, Virginia Hilderbrand, Viola Johnson, Alberta Jones, Vernon Wideman, Andrew Wideman and Lawrence Wideman.
