OBITUARY Marguerite S. Holm May 1, 1917 – November 24, 2018 Marguerite Holm passed away peacefully in Houston on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the age of 101. She was born at home in the Heights in 1917, the youngest of a large family. She graduated from Reagan High School and was a member of the Red Coats Drum and Bugle Corp.

She was voted Most Beautiful her senior year. She was proud to be among the first graduating class at the University of Houston and went on to teach at the primary level for 30 years at Travis Elementary and Grady Elementary as well as other schools in the Houston area. She enjoyed attending services at Second Baptist Church where she was a member.

She married Sidney Holm in 1941 and they had 55 wonderful years of marriage together. They shared a passion for ballroom dancing and joined their many friends at the Lords and Ladies Dance Club as often as possible. She also enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Holm. She is survived by her sons, Eric Holm and wife Shirley, and Wallace Holm and wife Karen, and their children, Ashley and Austin. Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 at 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Texas Liberty Mausoleum at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway.

Interment will follow at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
