Maria Alonso passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019. Born March 31, 1927 in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. Maria was the daughter of Jose and Bernadina (Nuñiz) Reyes, the youngest of 9 children.

She had a degree in beauty and cosmetology. Survived by children, Apolonio (Julianne) Alonso, Maria Alonso and Scott (Danielle) Alonso, daughter-in-law Christine Alonso, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings, sons Alvaro Alonso Jr., and Jose Alonso, and daughter-in-law Sandra Alonso.

The family would like to thank the nurses and CNA’s at the Virginia Nursing Home for the love and care they showed Mom during her 7 plus years there. Private services will be held. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Maria Alonso please visit our Sympathy Store.
