Obituary for Maria I Ortiz Maria Isabel Ortiz, 75, of New York City, passed away on July 05, 2018. Maria was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on November 05, 1942 to Arelio Ortiz and Catalina Cortes. Maria was a quiet humble soul who will fondly be remembered for her love of walks, shopping, taking care of her plants, and being with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her legacy is her children: Carmen N. Maldonado and husband Manuel, Jose L. Jimenez and wife Marisol, Elizabeth Jimenez Santiago and husband Laray, Evette R. Calvin and husband Raymond, and Milargos Cruz; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, siblings: Hilda Rosa Colon, Gloria Ester Valentin, and Angel Ortiz; along with a host of other family and friends. A celebration of life will be on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 1:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Memory Gardens 11005 N. US HWY 301 Thonotosassa FL 33592 with a visitation from 11:30-1:30. Interment will follow.
