Maria Soto, 78, passed away in St. George, UT on February 16, 2019. Maria was born in C.D. Juarez, Mexico on December 13, 1940 to Victor Rincon and Esther Chaparro. She married Feliciano Soto in C.D. Juarez, Mexico on July 21, 1958 until his passing on April 3, 2014.

Maria loved her family and spent all the time she could with them. She taught her children the importance of family, gathering them around often to enjoy weekend meals and parties. She was always there for when a child or grandchild faced struggles and helped them in any way she could.

Before retirement, Maria worked for the Oasis Resort & Casino as a porter. She was a devout Catholic and loved God, and would often enjoy discussing religion with anyone. Maria is survived by her children; Irma (Mario) Soto, Mario (Maria) Soto, Hector (MariTeresa) Soto, Patricia (Sergio) Soto, Felix (Adriana) Soto, and Pedro (Lupe) Soto, her 20 grandchildren, and her 31 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Feliciano Soto, her son; Jesus Daniel Soto, her parents, and all of her siblings. Funeral Mass Intentions will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at la Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mesquite, NV. There will be a viewing on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary in Mesquite, NV.
