Obituary Maria Werning (nee Van Alen), 85, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born February 9, 1934 in Germany, daughter of the late Herman and Christina (Kelger) Van Alen. Maria was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. She loved being grandma and great grandma.
