Marian Bell Bookholt Laurens Marian Bell Bookholt, 96, resident of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community and widow of William John Bookholt passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. Born in Augusta, GA she was a daughter of the late Clarence Vincent and Elizabeth Kelly Bell. Marian met her husband William while working at Ft.

Gordon and later moved to Atlanta, where they spent most of their lives. After William’s passing, she moved to Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Community. Surviving are: her children, Dr. Robert Glen Bookholt and wife Rebecca of Edisto Island and Barbara Bookholt Patterson and husband Leon of Greenville; grandchildren, Christopher Bookholt and wife Carolyn of England, and Lawrence Leon Patterson, Jr. of Greenville; great grandchildren, Alex Bookholt, Edward Bookholt, Lawrence Leon Patterson, III, and Michael Colebank Patterson.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Vincent and Louis Bell. Mrs. Bookholt will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in a graveside service in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. Condolences can be expressed to the family at www.
