Obituary for Marian Eschleman Marian Maltese Eschleman, 86, of Ewing, passed away on April 12, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson. A life-long resident of New Jersey, she excelled academically. In 1953, she graduated summa cum laude from the College of Saint Elizabeth’s in Morristown.

In 1957, Marian received her Master of Science degree from Rutgers University. Marian was a practicing Registered Dietitian for over 50 years and a Certified Diabetes Educator. She authored several text books on nutrition, and taught for a time at Mercer County Community College.

She was a life-long member of the American Dietetic Association. In 1990, Marian was the recipient of the College of Saint Elizabeth’s Annual Vincentian Award for outstanding contributions to healthcare. Over the years, she was a dedicated parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Trenton and Our Lady of Good Counsel in West Trenton serving on various committees such as the Rosary Altar Society.

She touched many lives through her professional, familial, and religious activities. A dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother – Marian is survived by her husband, Edward, of 53 years; a son Thomas Eschleman and his wife Maria; a daughter Annemarie Greve and her husband Daniel; three grandchildren: Sara, Emily, Leah; and a sister Rosemary Maltese. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6PM-8PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Avenue, Ewing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Trenton. Interment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Marian’s name to the College of St. Elizabeth or the American Diabetes Association.
