Marian J. Schlueter, age 71, of South Haven, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Annandale Care Center. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven with Rev. Timothy Nerud officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church.

Marian Janette Schlueter was born December 14, 1946 at the St. Cloud Hospital to Ervin and Margie (Gunderson) Lueders. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven. Marian attended school in Kimball, where she graduated with the Class of 1964.

On August 17, 1968 she was united in marriage to Norman Schlueter at Concordia Lutheran Church. In addition to caring for their home and raising her son, Steven, Marian provided daycare to area families for 26 years and also worked part-time at Mueller Mink Ranch for 21 years. Marian was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and served as secretary and treasurer.

She also was a member of the Fair Haven Lions Club and South Haven Fire Department Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and canning pickles. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Marian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Michelle of St. Augusta; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Sophia, and Gabrielle; brother Lenny Lueders; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Lynn Hoff will provide music for the service.

Jason Lueders, Brandon Schindele, and Mitchell Schindele will serve as urnbearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
