Obituary for Mrs. Marian Louise Mitsak (nee Beck) With great sadness the family of Marian Louise Mitsak (nee Beck), 70, announces her passing on December 16, 2018; beloved wife of John C. Mitsak; dear Mother of Megan Kretzschmar (Brian), Anna Mitsak (Douglas Mullen) and Stephen Mitsak (Jessica); dear Sugar to Ethan Kretzschmar, Lincoln and Potter Mitsak; devoted sister of James, Richard, Stephen and the late David Beck. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Marian was the fifth child of Edward and Mildred Beck.

Born in York, PA, she was a graduate of Wm. Penn HS and Juniata College. Marian began her career as a case worker in Pittsburgh.

During a Steeler game in Buffalo, Marian and John met and the romance began. Following marriage, they settled in Rodgers Forge and began the joyful task of raising a family. After nurturing her family during their early years, Marian worked as a para-educator for BCPS where she continued to devote her energies to help children.

During her retirement, her focus turned to her grandchildren, spending precious moments with them. They adored their Sugar. A maven of healthy living, Marian and her husband were well known for their routine fitness walks around the neighborhood.

A Liturgical Service will be offered on December 28, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church 6428 York Rd. A visitation with the family will began at 1030AM. Interment private.

Please omit flowers. Memorials in her name may be made to The Schultz Fund for Breast Cancer Survivors, UM St. Joseph Med Foundation, Maryland SPCA or the charity of your choice. Upcoming Events Visitation DEC 28.
