OBITUARY Marie Anna Moffitt November 7, 1925 – November 9, 2018 Marie Anna Six Moffitt November 7, 1925 – November 9,2018 Marie was bom in Coldwater, Kansas, the third child of Minnia and Andy J. Six. She graduated from high school in Coldwater, Kansas and then entered the Navy Cadet Nursing Program at Wesley Hospital in 1944. She met Eugene Kenneth Moffitt, a decorated Navy airman.

and married him 30 days later in June of 1945. She supported Gene during his long career with the Wichita Police Department. She concentrated on her home and family as it grew to include four boys.

When the boys were grown, she returned to nursing, working at Wichita Osteopathic Hospital for nearly 20 years. After retirement, she and Gene retired to Council Grove Lake, where they spent many years watching the sunset over the flint hills. Marie, loved her family and friends.

She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, pie baking, knitting, crafts and oil painting. Marie was preceded in death, by her husband, Eugene Kenneth Moffitt, her parents, Minnia Elizabeth (Ecoff) and A. . I.

Six, a brother, Earl Six and a sister, Dorothy Six Selby. She is survived by her children: Richard E. Moffitt and wife, Jena of Sweetwater, Texas. Paul E. Moffitt and wife, Linda of Wichita, Kansas Michael K. Moffitt and wife, Laurie of Wichita, Kansas Christopher W. Moffitt and wife, Josie of St. Louis, Mo.

Her Grandchildren: Autumn and Dan DeNayer, Rebecca and Shawn Kidd, Alia and Chris Truex, Allison and John Turner, Taylor and Anna Moffitt and Tyson Moffitt, Amanda and Tim Henderson, Josh Fields, Nick and Jennifer Voyles, Josh Voyles, and Amiee Voyles. Great-grandchildren: Dakota, Duston, Devon, Tiana, Grady, Reece, Lucy, Henry, Aurora, Chloe, Mason, Claire, Alexa and Evelyn. Graveside Service, 2pm, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Old Mission Cemetery,3424 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, Kansas.
