Marie E. Brackney, 77, of Springfield, was called back home to our heavenly Father’s arms on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 after her long battle with breast cancer. She is the beloved daughter of Theodore R. Dubois and Mamie Dubois, of Easthampton. She was the loving wife of her husband of 51 years, Richard F. Brackney.

She is the oldest child of her siblings; Eugene Dubois, Roland Dubois, Theresa Laflam, and Maurice Dubois. She was loved and cared for by her only child, her daughter, Marceline M. Brochu. She will be missed by her grandchildren Anthony, Erica, Olivia, Alex and her two great grandchildren Jaiden and Laila.

As well as many of her relatives and friends. Marie was a hard working woman for all her life, she retired in 2003 from Dinn Brothers Trophies, Inc She remained active in her community volunteering her time as, Vice President of Pine Point branch of Springfield’s Golden Agers club as well as the Executive Secretary.

She was also a member of the Franco American Women’ Association of Saint Rose de Lima Parish of Chicopee. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady Sacred Heart church. Her faith was strong for the Lord right up until the very end.

The Funeral for Marie will be on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 9am from Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave. , Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 417 Boston Rd.

, Springfield at 10am. Burial will be in St. Brigid’s Cemetery in Easthampton. Calling Hours will be on Friday, Nov.

2, at the funeral home from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Dept. 41831, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX, 75265 in her name and others who are fighting breast cancer.
