Marie Grace Barnes February 1, 1926 – February 1, 2019 Mrs. Marie Grace Barnes, age 93, of Albany, Oregon, passed away on February 1, 2019. She was born February 1, 1926, in South Dakota. At the age of 9, her family relocated to Albany, and she has been a resident of Albany ever since.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry H. Barnes; and daughter, Cynthia K. Wilkinson. Marie worked for the Greater Albany Public Schools in many capacities over her work career, from being a bus driver to a library aide; she always enjoyed interacting with the students. Marie is survived by one daughter, Joan Roth of Brownsville; six grandchildren, Bruce Roth of Tyngsboro, MA, Brenda Sisson of Lebanon, Chuck Wilkinson of Albany, Uriah Roth of Harrisburg, Stephen Wilkinson of Knoxville, TN, and Chris Wilkinson of Phoenix, AZ; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private viewing for the family was held on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Fisher Funeral Home, with the entombment at the Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Albany. To plant a tree in memory of Marie Barnes, please visit our Tribute Store.
