Obituary of Marie Swirsky Marie Swirsky, age 73, of Kendall Park, NJ, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 4, 2018 after a two-year battle with cancer. Marie was born on February 23, 1945 in Batavia, NY, to the late Louis and Christine Zalacca. Marie retired as an administrative assistant from the Le Roy (New York) Central School System.

After settling in New Jersey, Marie retired from the Gallup Organization, where she served as personal administrative assistant to George Gallup, Jr. Marie did not slow down in retirement, instead going on to work in the medical industry until becoming ill. Marie was an avid reader. When she wasn’t reading, Marie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed hosting holidays at her home, making pasta shells and homemade sauce for family and friends. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Christine Zalacca, and brother, Samuel Zalacca. Surviving are her brother, James Zalacca, NY; her sister-in-law Rosalyn Zalacca, NY; her children Kimberly (Kier) Harvey, NJ, and David Hyde, NJ; her grandchildren James, Daniel, Kieran, Andrew and Nicholas; her great-grandchildren Jayciana and Javier; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3:00-3:30pm at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
