Marilyn Jean Key, 89, a longtime resident of Barrington passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 20, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1929 in West Bloomfield Twp, MI to Harold and Nela (nee Manigold) Grove. She was a volunteer for Good Shepherd Hospital and Catchpenny in Barrington as well as a member of the Methodist Church.

She loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved animals, especially her cats Punky and Cleo. On December 3, 1949 she was united in marriage to Robert Key in Keego Harbor, MI; they celebrated 56 joyful years until his death in 2006.

Marilyn will be deeply missed by her loving children, Mike (Lynn), Dave and Steve (Betsy) Key; grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas (Mara), Jacob, Gary; great-granddaughters, Samantha and Zoe. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Glenn and Janet. Services and interment will be private.
