Marion “Dave” Roberts November 22, 1946 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Marion “Dave” Roberts, 72, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:45 P.M., Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. Dave had been a truck driver. He was a member of the Spirit of Life Church in Du Quoin.

He was born November 22, 1946 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Rice) Roberts. He married Betty Knapp on September 26, 1964 at Cave In Rock, IL and she survives. He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, three children – Jeff “Red” Roberts and wife Trish of Pinckneyville, Larry Roberts and fiancé Karla Whited of Tamaroa, and Laura Ferrari and husband Donald of Pinckneyville, five grandchildren – Connie Jo Forth and husband Jarrod of Summerfield, IL, Jeff “Rusty” Roberts of Bradenton, FL, Josh Whited and wife Jamie of Du Quoin, Nathan Whited and wife Yesenia of San Diego, CA, and David Ferrari and wife Aireanna of Waltonville, two sisters – Wilma Zettler of Du Quoin and Joanne Roberts of Reno, NV, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa, IL. Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or SIH Cancer Center in Carterville, IL and will be accepted at the funeral home.
