Obituary for Marion Hunter Marion Hunter, 64 of Spotswood, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born Sunday, March 7, 1954 in Irvington, New Jersey, Marion was the daughter of the late Milton and Annetta Altvater. Marion was raised in Clark, NJ.

She would go on to graduate from ALJ Regional High School, Marion would then attend the Elizabeth General School of Nursing, where she was honored with the Dean’s List and Surgical Nursing Award, and then would obtain her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Union County College. Marion would work as a Registered Nurse, most recently working with Meridian Health Home Care in Brick, NJ. Marion enjoyed crocheting, taking pictures, drawing, and had a talent for writing poetry.

Marion was a past volunteer with the Clark EMS squad, and was also a member of the National Organization of Women. She will be missed by all those that loved her. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband.

William Hunter, in 1992, she was also predeceased by her parents, Milton and Annetta Altvater, and her brothers, Roger Altvater and Neil Altvater. Marion is survived by her loving son, William Hunter, by her caring sister, Annette Dunn and her husband Thomas, and by her caring sister in laws, Denise Altvater, and Linda Altvater, as well as her loving nieces and nephews, and great nephews. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Memorial Service to start at 3:30 PM In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Marion’s memory be made to either the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
