Marjorie Sue Carter December 07, 1935 – April 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card McMinnville, TN resident and Rutherford County, TN native Marjorie Sue Carter, age 83, was born December 7, 1935 and died April 29, 2019 at Elk River Health & Rehab of Fayetteville. A retired teacher’s aide with Bobby Ray Elementary and a member of Rockliff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Orman and Elizabeth Warren Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Sonny Dunn, Mary Eaton, Hugh Dunn, Eloise Eaton, Almetia Cunningham, Walter “Bub” Dunn, Bill Dunn, Betty Lee Carman, Frankie Walker, Jack Dunn, Thelma Oftolie and Elizabeth Hanson.

She is survived by four children and spouses, Jetta and Chuck Downham of Franklin, TN, Jane Carter and Scott Holden of Shelbyville, TN, Carolyn and Mike Shirley of McMinnville, and Albert Carter and Crystal of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, Jillian Downham, Eric Downham, Marley Majors, Elizabeth Kennamer, Andrew Kennamer, Maya Zaken and Owen Carter; two great-grandchildren, Trayton West and Braxton McBride; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Betty Dunn of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Goodie and Bobby Webb of Morrison, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special caregivers, Becky Hillis and Rachel Cheek. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 in High’s Chapel with Jack Eaton officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at High’s.
