OBITUARY Mark Allen Hill July 28, 1950 – December 18, 2018 Mark Allen Hill was born on July 28, 1950 and passed away on December 18, 2018 at the age of 68. He was born in Bakersfield, CA and grew up there where he graduated from East Bakersfield High School in 1967. Mark served as a Captain in the US Marine Corps and was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War.

After the military he attended USC where he studied mechanical engineering. He became a hydraulic engineer and worked for King Bearing in Tulare, CA and retired from Poclain Hydraulics in Racine, WI. Throughout his life, Mark lived in Hanford, CA, Burlington, WI, Medford, OR and La Grange, TX.

He spent the remainder of his days near family in Hanford, CA. Mark enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains. His favorite spot was Moses Gulch in the Sequoia National Park.

Mark was an avid football fan. He cheered for the Green Bay Packers and you would often hear him chant “Go Pack Go”. Mark was a sincere and giving man.

He loved his family with all of his heart. He is survived by his wife Deborah Pettijohn Hill, sister Vickie Ledbetter and husband Joe, sister Denise Hill, stepdaughter Rhonda Smith and husband Josh, stepson Ken Johnson, granddaughter Jessica Bean and husband Tanner, grandson Jayson Dickens, grandson Taylor Broilette, grandson Michael Johnson, granddaughter Emma Johnson, great granddaughters Kaitlyn and Madison Bean. He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Hill and parents Robert Hill and Peggy Joyce Kisbey.

At Mark’s request no service will be held. Mark shared many wonderful times with family and friends. Please keep him in your hearts and prayers.
