Obituary for Mark Anthony “Dewy” Allen Mark “Dewy” Anthony Allen, age 59 of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Mark was born March 6, 1959 in Bridgeport, CT. , the beloved son of the late Christopher & Josephine Allen.

He was a graduate of Harding High School and worked as a cook at McDonald’s. Mark lived in Father Panik most of his life before moving to Waterbury, CT. Here he met the love of his life, Dildred Peoples, and together they had a little girl.

Three years later, Mark moved to Stratford where he resided until his sunset. Mark was a loving and dedicated father, brother, and friend. He loved being outside; hanging out at the park or riding his scooter.

When he wasn’t outside you could usually find Mark inside listening to music or watching movies or sports. He especially enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by: 2 brothers, Danny Allen & Isaac Jackson; maternal grandmother, Loretta Allen; paternal grandmother, Sara Allen. Mark is survived by his; companion of 13 years, Dildred Peoples; daughter, Jaileen Allen of South Carolina; brother, Tyrone Allen of Trumbull; special cousins, Vanessa & Calvin Parker, Meron, Yolanda, Micchael Cabral; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. A Memorial Service Honoring Mark’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2pm-4pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave.
