Mark S. Bora, age 64, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2019. Mark was born in Chardon on September 14, 1954 to the late Peter and Anna Bora. Once Mark grew up, he moved to Lake County where he lived most of his life.

Mark was always known as a “gentle giant”. Mark had many hobbies. He loved to participate in slot car racing, belonged to Chubby Rascals Racing Club for many years, and had an affinity for hot rods.

Mark was also an avid gun collector who enjoyed his many trips to the shooting range. In addition, he really enjoyed karaoke, loved his dogs, and fishing. Most recently, Mark showed an interest in reading and writing poetry.

Most important to Mark was the love he shared with his family, friends, and his “adopted daughters”. Mark is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mark was the loving father of KK Marian, and Heather “Dink” Bora; a cherished brother to Suzanne (Ed) Maxwell and Steven Bora; and an uncle, cousin and friend to many more.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Larry Bora, Jim Bora, Pete (Clara) Bora, and Ken Bora. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Monreal Funeral Home 35400 Curtis Blvd. Eastlake, OH.

A service will immediately follow at 7:00PM at Monreal Funeral Home. Friends are encouraged to wear casual attire or attire showing off their favorite hot rods. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe account in Mark’s name to help cover final expenses.
