OBITUARY Marlene Apple November 17, 1934 – November 15, 2018 MARLENE APPLE, age 84, of Beachwood passed away November 15, 2018. Born on November 17, 1934 to Sol and Zelda Yalowitz. She attended John Adams High School in Cleveland, OH and earned an associated degree from Cuyahoga Community College.

She had a successful retail career and had her own business as a jewelry and accessories representative. She married the love of her life, Sheldon, in 1956. Together they traveled the world, enjoyed spending time together, and doted on their children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her adoring children: Jill Ross (Dan), Susan Schlessinger (Marc) and Robert Apple (Stefani). Cherished Mama of Zachary and Jamie Ross, Jacob, Carly and Kyle Schlessinger, Danielle, Marisa and Jillian Apple. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Sheldon A. Apple and her siblings: Edward Yalowitz, Marvin Young and Sandra Osher.

Funeral services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD. , CLEVELAND HTS. on Sunday, November 18 at 10:30 AM.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Solon, OH. The family will observe shiva SUNDAY FOLLOWING BURIAL UNTIL 8 PM, MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY FROM 3 – 5 AND 6 – 8 PM, THURSDAY FROM 3 – 5 PM at the residence of Susan and Marc Schlessinger, 25035 Margot Ct.

, Beachwood. Services at 4:45 PM. Contributions in her memory are suggested to Chabad of Solon, Cleveland Hillel or Menorah Park.
