Obituary Marlene “Whitey” C. Showers, age 83 of Gardners, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Thursday, July 4, 1935 in Menallen Twp. Adams Co., the son of the late Paul C. and Margaret C. (Taylor) Showers.

Whitey served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959 and then transferred to the US Army Reserve for an additional four years. He was stationed in Germany for 16 months during his active service.
