Marlene (Norkum) MacDonald, 75, of Lynn passed away peacefully at approximately 4:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers with her family at her side. She was a wonderful mother who raised her only daughter by herself. Marlene was an incredibly strong woman who lived with a chronic illness for many years.

Through bad times and good, Marlene always had a positive outlook and words of comfort to loved ones amidst her own suffering. Marlene died 75 years young. After working for many years as a phlebotomist her diabetes rendered her disabled.

Marlene was born in Malden and grew up in Saugus and finally met her love Richard Bush. Marlene will be missed by so many, especially from her family. Marlene survives by her daughter Jada, her two grandsons Nick and Matty, and her longtime friend Richard S. Bush of Lynn.

We pray to see you again one day. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral Mass on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer Street, Saugus, MA 01906 at 10:00 am.
