Obituary for Marlene R Ortstein Print Marlene R. Ortstein, age 83 of Newton, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 at the Newton Medical Center. Born in Paterson to the late Joseph and Ruth (Powelson) Kessel, Marlene was a graduate of Pompton Lakes High School. She had lived in Hardyston for over 40 years before settling in Bristol Glen a few years ago.

Marlene was a former real estate agent for Weichert in Hamburg and a member of the Snufftown Garden Club in Stockholm, NJ. Predeceased by her husband, Walter Ortstein in 2013, Marlene is survived by her loving daughters Lisa Ann McCann of Chicago, Ill. , Dana M. Eisele and her husband Raymond, and Karen L. Garrera and her husband John, all of Frankford Twp.

; grandchildren Matthew and Julia Garrera and Jami Farda, Kelli McCann, and Kristi Doyle; as well as three great-grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, and Isabella Farda. A memorial visitation for Marlene will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 3-5PM at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416.
