Obituary for Mrs. Marlene Rae Warner Age 82 of Bloomington, MN passed away peacefully on 7/14/18 in the loving care of NC Little Hospice in Edina. She successfully fought ovarian cancer for 15 years. During that time she lived life to the fullest with family, friends and took many special trips.

Marlene will be missed by her daughter, Pam (Dave) Hamel; grandchildren, Katie, Andy Hamel; step-children,Greg Warner,Mary (Jim) Lindquist,Nancy (Mike) Meyers;step-grandchildren, Anne (Renn) Nastor,Scott, Jack Warner, Ben Stout, Laura &Aaron Meyers;great-grandchildren, Brenna and Reese Nastor; sister-in-law, Cindy Jensen;dear mother, Helen Jensen; loving sisters, JoAnn (Bruce) Viker, Pat Habeck, Pam (Orville) Dukleth; and many special nieces and nephews. Aunty Marlene had a big heart with room for all. Preceded in death by husbands, Bob Bang and Bo Warner; father, Carl; brother, Van; niece, Kristine; step-son, Mark.

Graduated from Ada, MN High School (1953) and from St.Olaf College (1957) majoring in Nursing, her career spanned all aspects of nursing including surgical, school, hospital, hospice nursing, as well as teaching nursing as Director of a 2 year program in Fergus Falls. Her nursing experience carried over from her professional life to her personal life as Marlene had a lifetime full of caring for and nurturing others. She was a thoughtful and loving friend and an adventurous traveler.

She was a warm and loving grandmother, and had a special bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom’s real passion was her family taking many special trips together; she wanted her family to experience the world. We have many wonderful memories of time spent together on Anna Maria Island.

Mom will be dearly missed for her kindness, generosity, optimism, determined strength and love. Funeral service Wednesday July 18th at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Mpls.
