Cahaba Memorial Funeral Chapel announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Marquita Calhoun Mack was born January 23, 1963 to Leon Calhoun and Dorla J. Shephard in Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father Leon Calhoun, step-father Michael M. Logan, two sisters Deneen L. Calhoun and Dorla J. Logan and both sets of grandparents. She attended Sanford B. Ladd and St. Martin De P ore Elementary Schools, Martin Luther King Middle School, and Paseo High School.

After high school she started working at Kansas City Missouri Aviation Department as an Air Traffic Controller. In 1987, she joined the United States Air Force Reserves.
