DOUGHERTY MARSHA J. (nee: Smith), of Grays Ferry. Passed away on March 17, 2019 with her husband by her side. She was a former employee of the Delaware River Bay Authority where she worked as a toll collector on the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Her favorite vacation was taking trips to Lake George, New York. Marsha was well known for her homemade crafts that she enjoyed making especially during the Christmas season. She had a special talent for making homemade cards for all occasions.

She made all types of ornaments to give to family and friends. Marsha will be remembered as loving, caregiving friend and neighbor who always had a smile and kind word for all. She is the loving wife and best friend of 25 years to Bill.

Devoted mother to Stephen (Bobbi Jo) Crawford, Alison Dooley, Candice (Jason) Kincaid, William Dougherty III, Lori (Ray) Rogers and Christopher Dougherty. Dearest proud and doting Mom Mom of 16 grandchildren and great grand mom of 3. Sister of Debra Aranga, and the late Lois Bolden and Kathleen Ringgold.

She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Thursday morning 9 to 10:45 AM at St. Gabriel’s R. C. Church (29th & Dickinson Streets). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM.

Burial Private. Donations in her memory may be made to “Our House Ministry”, 1441 S. 29th St., Phila. , PA 19146.
