Obituary for Martha Ann Milano (Morgensen) Martha Ann Morgensen Milano, 79, of West Haven entered into rest on December 9, 2018. For the past 62 years, she has been the wife and best friend of Anthony A. (Bud) Milano Sr., retired NHPD. Proud mother and mother-in-law of Shari Milano, Mark (Cheryl) Milano, Jeffrey (Joy) Milano, Marianne (Jerry) Gambardella and Anthony A. (Toni) Milano, Jr. Grandmother of 16 beautiful grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Marie (Betty) Hoffman Morgensen, her sister Marion Gannon Streker and her grandson Jerry Gambardella, Jr.. While raising her children, Martha was an executive board member of the West Haven Junior Women’s Club, the West Haven Penalty Box Club and Theater West; Youth Group Leader for Our Lady of Victory Church and a religious instructor for St. John Vianney Church. She also was a volunteer, along with her husband, with the New Haven Police Dept.

Stress Unit Peer Counseling program. She was secretary for St. John Vianney Church from 1981 until 1985. In 1986 Mrs. Milano graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac College with a B.S. in psychology.

She became the crisis intervention counselor with the Cheshire Police Dept. from 1986 to 1993. In addition, she provided training seminars for other police departments.

Upon her retirement to Florida, she was elected President of the condominium Board of Directors where she continued to serve as administrator. She was a communicant of San Antonio Parish. Mrs. Milano leaves a legacy of community involvement and a commitment to return to the world the kindness she received.

Visitation will take place on WEDNESDAY from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. Her procession will leave the funeral home on THURSDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Church at 11 o’clock.

Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the West Haven Community House, 227 Elm St., West Haven, CT. 06516.
