Funeral services Mrs. Martha Anne Carey Kaplan, age 75, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the First Christian Church with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Harry Hadden will officiate.

Mrs. Kaplan was born September 29, 1942 in Sandersville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert James Briggs and Sarah Mae Ivey Watkins and a daughter, Mary Robin Carey Roberts. Mrs. Kaplan passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Kaplan of Wrightsville, her children, Susan (Clifford) Claxton of Wrightsville, Dianna (David) Peters of Tybee Island and David (Teresa) Carey of Wrightsville, a sister, Madeline Fusco of England, eight grandchildren, Monica Roberts, Camron R. Drew, Magen R. Douglas, Kale Roberts, Michelle Johnson, Steven Johnson, Sarah Peters and Chazz Carey, seven great-grandchildren, Kara Drew, Kynlee Drew, Cadah Drew, C.J. Garrett, River Walker, Ava Hammersmith and Cooper Douglas and two step-daughters, Nannette (Stan) Mayo and Diana Becker of Arkansas The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the First Christian Church. Pallbearers will be Chazz Carey, C.J. Garrett, Kevin Drew, Wade Douglas, Stan Mayo and Eric Hadden.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
