OBITUARY Martha E Sarchett December 19, 1915 – November 30, 2018 Martha E. Sarchett, 102, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at home surround by love ones. She was born in Elwood, Indiana in 1915 and moved to Farrell, PA at the age of four. Martha was one of five children; all siblings have preceded her in death.

She married Harold Sarchett (deceased 1981) in 1938 and had two children. They moved to Arizona in November 1947 and started their own business, Southwestern Leather & Shoe Findings Co. Inc. in 1951. They worked together side by side until Harold retired and turned the business over to their children.

They shared many adventures while traveling across the country as well as abroad. Martha was very philanthropic and involved in community work throughout her years. She was a Past President of the Phoenix Theater Guild, Past President of the Mental Health Guild, Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile and a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Laurel Chapter of Eastern Star, Friends and Family services and was a founding member of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Paradise Valley.

She enjoyed playing bridge several times a week in the many groups in which she belonged. She is survived by her son Chip and daughter Linda, along with seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many, many great great grandchildren survive her. No services will be held, however, contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Banner Hospice, 275 E. Germann Rd.
