OBITUARY Ms. Martha Fryar Sertel September 22, 1930 – September 9, 2018 Martha Fryar Sertel, 87, died September 9, at her home. Martha is a native Chattanoogan and worked as a secretary for Standard, Coosa & Thatcher, and Stophel, Caldwell and Heggie. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Margaret Fryar and husband, Earl Sertel.

Survivors include daughters Cindy (Steve) Naugle and Diane (Steve) Parks, grandchildren, Ryan (Mary) Naugle, Holly Flores and Janie (Adam) Varnell, and three great-grandchildren, siblings, are Glendolyn Wild, Hazel Waters, and Russell Fryar. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, September 12 from 4 to 7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home on South Moore Rd. The funeral will be at Brainerd United Methodist Church September 13 at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at the National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brainerd United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
