Martha Heinecke, (nee;Sterrett) 84 of Valparaiso, passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born October 28, 1934 in Falls Creek, PA, the daughter of Thomas and Gladys (Anderson) Sterrett. Martha was a Home Economics Teacher and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Valparaiso.

She was also a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Clarksburg, WV and was active in Social Ministry and Women of the ELCA. Surviving are her daughters Heather Budnik of Valparaiso and Laurie Walters of San Antonio, TX, a sister Mary Lecker of Tipp City, OH and 4 grandchildren, Nathan Budnik, David Budnik, Rebecca Budnik, and Abigail Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband William Allen Heinecke, her parents and her brother Thomas Sterrett, Jr. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 2610 N. Campbell St. Valparaiso, with Funeral Services at 11:00 AM Pastor Timothy Knauff and Pastor Erica Gibson-Even officiating.

Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
