OBITUARY Martha Perkins McLallen February 2, 1924 – September 6, 2018 Martha Perkins McLallen, a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2018 at the age of 94. Martha was born on February 2, 1924. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Clyde Davis McLallen, Jr., father John Hamilton Perkins, Jr., mother Rosa Blake Perkins, sister Rosa Perkins Wilson, brother John Hamilton Perkins, Jr..

Survivors include her son Clyde Davis McLallen, Jr., daughters, Susan McLallen Payne, Patricia McLallen Grace (Robert); grandchildren Elizabeth Wells England (Robert), Katherine Payne Carter (Calvin), and Michael David Payne; great grandchildren Daniel Jay Matos, and Hannah Blake England. Martha attended Northwestern University before settling down to love and serve her husband, family, church, friends, and community. She loved to support many charities and their causes, and brought joy and comfort to all those she encountered.

All of the family would like to thank the devoted caregivers throughout her final days, Sharon Starks and Veronica Moore. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Valley Chapel, Homewood, Alabama, Monday, September 10, from 12:00-1:30, followed by a family graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Transformation Ministries, 100 Missionary Ridge Drive, Birmingham, Alabama, 35242 or to a charity of your choice.
