Martha “Perkie” Patton 1934-2019 Perkie passed away unexpectedly at her home in Port Saint Lucie Florida on Saturday, May 11 at the age of 84. She was born in South Brownsville Pa to Beulah Wheeler Williams and J Park Williams. She graduated from Brownsville High School.

She married Sandford “Bud” Patton in 1955. Perkie went back to school as an adult and became an LPN. She worked at Brownsville General Hospital her entire career.

In 1989 she received a liver transplant. She had deep gratitude for her ultimate gift of life. She was able to enjoy 30 more years of life because an anonymous person unselfishly gave her the gift of life.

She was eternally grateful. While living in Brownsville she was a member of Ft Burd United Presbyterian Church. After retiring from her nursing career, she bought a home in Port Saint Lucie Florida.

After moving to Florida she became a member of First Presbyterian Church of Stuart Florida. Her many joys included living in Florida, traveling (especially enjoying cruises), reading, spending time with family and friends, and cooking. She loved to feed her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud and her sister Jackie Ghrist. She leaves behind a grieving family that include her daughter Raine Patton Theis (Steve) of Savannah Ga. , 2 grandchildren, Betsy Dominguez (Manny), & Blake Chunko (Alyssum), and the loves of her life, her identical twin great-grandsons, Jordi & Axel Dominguez.

Her niece Jill Felix (Dave), cousin Joyce Smith (Darrell), and nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held in Port St Lucie Florida on January 11, 2020. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Martha R. Patton please visit our Sympathy Store.
