Beloved husband of Vestal (nee Pollnow) for 67 years; loving father of Marty (Diane) Hennessey, Mike (Terri) Hennessey, Peter (Janet) Hennessey, Tim (Judy) Hennessey, Mary Hennessey, Clare (Rico) Salmon, Gaye (Bob) Frederic, Julie (Harry) Freeman, Caren (Brad) Cytron; cherished grandfather of Courtney (Mike) Hopson, Brittany (Cayse) Thomas, Kyle (Amy) Hennessey, Margaux (John) Roth, Lizzie (Dave) King, Ricky (Danielle) Hennessey, Daniel Hennessey, Drew Hennessey, Nicholas Hennessey, Mia (Nick) Baxter, Eli Hennessey, Lou Wiedman, Berkley (John) Cain, Hilary (Rob) Orf, Hunter Salmon, Grant, Trent, and Drake Frederic, K.C. Mart served in the US Army, stationed in Italy at the end of WWII.

Along with his two brothers he owned and operated Hennessey-Forrestal Machinery Co. Throughout his life he enjoyed classic cars, playing tennis, playing his harmonica and accordion, riding horses, working on his family farm and traveling with his wife and children. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are preferred to Birthright STL, 2525 S Brentwood Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63144 or Annunziata Catholic Church, 9305 Clayton Road, Ladue, MO 63124.
