Martin “Marty Eddie” Edward Sorenson, age 53 of Great Falls, MT, passed on September 15th, 2018 at Benefis Health System Hospital from accidental injuries he sustained from a fall. A Visitation will be held Thursday night, September 20th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held this Friday, September 21st at 11:00 AM at Croxford Funeral Home, with a Visitation one hour prior, at 10 AM.

The Service will be Livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Marty was born in Williston, ND at Mercy Hospital on August 18th, 1965 to Tilman and Yvonne Sorenson. He was raised in Williston with his siblings Lynn, Lanette, Lori, Dana, Dawn, Sherri, and Lance.

Marty was married to Becki Fauth in December 1988 and had his first child (BreAnn), born June 26th, 1989. He continued to live and work in Williston until he met the girl of his dreams Veronica Lindstrom. In 1997, Marty and Veronica, his fiancé at the time had their first child (ArieAnna) together and shortly thereafter moved to Great Falls MT to be closer to his first born BreAnn.

He married the love of his life Veronica on August 12th, 2000 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston. Marty and Veronica had two more children (Sterling and Shyera) during the life they built together in Montana. He worked night maintenance at Wal-Mart of Great Falls for the past 21+ years.

Marty deeply loved his family and believed that family should always come before all else. His children, wife and siblings could always count on him for loving advice and protection; nobody could threaten that. If he had free time you can bet, he wanted to spend it with his wife and children and he always tried to visit extended family whenever he and Veronica had a chance.

If he did anything on his own, it would have been to sneak down to a lake or stream somewhere close to throw in a fishing line. Music also played a big role in his life. The whole family enjoyed pulling up karaoke songs on the computer and singing well into the night and not just at home either; it was pretty much everywhere they went.

One thing that always stuck with Marty was the tragic loss of his own father, Tilman when he was just a young boy of 10. He always held his father in high regard and wished he had more time with him growing up. Marty always had such a great sense of humor and at times could light up the room with laughter with his witty banter.

Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica; daughters, BreAnn (Ryan) Cripe, ArieAnna (Zack) Fulbright, Shyera Sorenson; son, Sterling Sorenson; grandson, Rainer Cripe; mother, Yvonne Sorenson; mother-in-law, Gerda Lindstrom; sisters, Lynn (Greg Bangert) Sorenson, Lanette Bennis, Lori (Russ Johnson) Sorenson, Dana (Patrick Burke) Sorenson, Dawn Sorenson; brother, Lance (Mandy) Landers; brother-in-laws, Kelly Heck, Cody (Lynn) Lindstrom; sister-in-law, Kari Conitz and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that he adored. Marty is preceded in death by his father, Tilman Sorenson; sister, Sherri Sorenson; father-in-law, Chuck Lindstrom; brother-in-law, Chad Conitz.
